Welcome to ESL with Erin 

This site is designed for Adult English learners who are adjusting to life in a new country, but can be enjoyed by all beginner English students.

The content of this site has been designed with CLB1 and CLB2 (CEFR A1) benchmarks in mind.

I strive to make this site accessible to all learners by using simple graphics, easy to read text and large areas to click, as many of my students are learning computer literacy at the same time as English literacy. This site is designed to be used as independently as possible, however is more effective with instructor guidance.

About Me: 

I’ve been teaching ESL for over a decade internationally and in Canada, to international students, businesses and to immigrants and refugees.

I currently teach for the LINC program at Douglas College.

This site has been optimized for use on a desktop computer, but can also be used on tablets or phones. Unfortunately due to the limitations of the software not all activities are optimized for small screens. 

  • Matching doesn’t work on mobile
  • Memory cards can’t be adjusted to fewer rows on mobile making it too difficult for some students
  • The speaking activity only works with Google Chrome
